The Global Coil Winding And Electrical Manufacturing Event

Safe & Secure at CWIEME Berlin

Connecting our community safely

Your health, safety and comfort has been, and continues to be, our number one priority. As our industry moves forward, we are dedicated to delivering events and facilitating trade with health and safety at the top of the agenda.

We are very pleased to report that the restrictions around society and events in Berlin were relaxed on 01.04.2022. This reflects the reduction in the personal risk to individuals and means that mask wearing is no longer mandatory in exhibition halls (only now on public transport, in hospitals and nursing homes) and you no longer have to prove your covid status prior to entering public venues.

However, we are still taking precautions and will keep this information up to date on this page. We would still welcome all parties to take additional measures where it makes them feel more comfortable. Please read the detail around our advice below.

If you are an exhibitor, please log into our exhibitor portal CWIEME World to access our extended guide with information on build-up, break-down & stand design.

Before the event

Awareness & Communication

  • The venue website, social media and emails will supply you with up to date information regarding guidelines in place at the show.
  • Please check your government advice for guidance on domestic or international travel before you start your journey.
  • Plan your time at the event using the floor plan and exhibitor list
  • You or your staff should not attend the event if you are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms.

At the event

Cleaning and Personal Hygiene

  • Hand sanitiser stations are available across the venue and especially in high traffic areas. However, we advise that exhibitors and visitors carry their own as a measure of additional safety and convenience.
  • Masks are no longer required in public areas but we remain a mask friendly event.
  • We have asked exhibitors to ensure a deeper clean before, during and after the show opens each day; paying particular attention to high traffic touchpoints and consider visible cleaning logs.
  • Along with Messe Berlin, we are conducting a thorough, enhanced, cleaning regime of all public areas and features prior to show opening and during show open periods.

Social Distancing

  • For your comfort we have made the majority of gangways 3 metres wide
  • When walking around the event, we ask you to please remember that some people will be more comfortable in the environment than others. As a result:
    • Please give people space when you are walking past them.
    • Check before initiating personal contact (consider elbow bumps rather than handshakes or hugs).
    • Rather than exchanging business cards exhibitors have been encouraged to use data capture devices to ensure contact free sharing of business details – look out for QR codes on stands.
    • Consider arranging meetings in advance at less busy times.

Event and Venue Facilities

  • Please print your badgeprior to travelling to the venue. This will help you to move easily through the entrance and registration area
  • Please ensure you arrive for any sessions in plenty of time. Theatres will be cleaned between each.
  • Please visit the venue website to view their specific COVID-19 measures.

After the event

Track & Trace

We are confident the measures that we, the venue and the exhibitors will be putting in place will make our event as safe as possible. Please ensure you give accurate information throughout the registration process.

The relevant local authorities will contact you if there’s a need to update you regarding track and trace.
