Dr. Florian Gnädinger is Sales Leader for Huntsman Advanced Materials business in E-Mobility & Automotive Electronics. 
He holds more than 10 years of experience in processing and application technology for composites and insulating casting and impregnation resins.  
He received a Master of Science in aerospace engineering and earned his PhD in composites manufacturing at the University of Stuttgart (Germany).

What does the Tg of ARALDITE® and ARATHANE® thermosets mean for EV applications?

  • Epoxy resins enjoy wide popularity among electronics industries due to their excellent electrical and mechanical properties, as well as their ability to offer protection against chemicals and elevated temperatures
  • The Tg can act as a very powerful (and also misleading) physical quantity to describe those epoxy and polyurethane resins
  • The Tg of ARALDITE® and ARATHANE® products ranges from -60°C to +200°C. We will introduce typical EV applications like batteries, stators and rotors and explain how to select the right insulation resin
