Sustainability in the Transformer Sector: Challenges, Opportunities and Optimisation

  • Directions that can ensure higher sustainability, such as lower losses, use of recyclable and renewable materials (biodegradable fluids), retrofittable features, selection of optimal transformer lifetime, application of modular concepts, solutions enabling improved maintainability and operation
  • Different views about what should be covered by this subject, what metrics should be used, what limits set, as well as what the focus of our efforts should be in order to get the best results in a shorter time frame?
  • The presentation will focus on sustainability based on results of research, which also includes results for other areas, such as new technologies, innovation, transformer components, transformer oil, transformer service, digitalisation, outlook of market and technology, and business on the transformer market
